It is located between the National Game Reserve and the Picos de Europa National Park. The Mozarabic Church of Lebeña, from the tenth century, the Romanesque Monastery of Piasca from the eleventh century or the monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana, a holy place of pilgrimage for many, because it is the largest fragment of the Cross of Jesus Christ, are some of the most important places to visit in the area.
Picos de Europa:these impressive mountains are part of the immense Cordillera Cantábrica, belonging to the provinces of León, Cantabria and Asturias. Among them, we can find the Picos de Europa National Park, a place of immense scenic attraction and the second largest protected area in the country, declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2003.
