COMILLAS & CAPRICHO DE GAUDI- DESDE SANTANDER
En esta excursión de media jornada conocerás el pueblo de Comillas, cuna del modernismo catalán y el único pueblo modernista de Cantabria. Una visita obligada para cualquier amante de la arquitectura modernista.
Al llegar a Comillas visitaremos el Palacio de Sobrellano. Este edificio neogótico fue construido originalmente para ser el palacio de verano del marqués de Comillas y su amigo el rey Alonso XII.
El palacio se encuentra en lo alto de una pequeña colina desde donde también disfrutarás de unas estupendas vistas sobre el Antiguo Seminario Mayor (antes conocida como Universidad de Comillas). Este majestuoso edificio fue realizado por los arquitectos catalanes Joan Martorell y Lluís Domenech i Montaner e incluye diferentes influencias arquitectónicas.
Nuestra siguiente parada será visitar el “Capricho de Gaudí”, mansión construida por el famoso arquitecto catalán Antonio Gaudí y uno de los primeros edificios modernistas construidos en España y una de las pocas construcciones de Gaudí fuera de Cataluña.
Antes de salir de Comillas, haremos un recorrido panorámico por el pueblo para conocer algunos de sus lugares más relevantes: el cementerio viejo, la casa de la duquesa o el monumento a Antonio López.
Finalmente, en nuestro camino de regreso a Santander tomaremos la carretera secundaria de la costa que atraviesa varios pueblos pequeños .

COMILLAS & CAPRICHO DE GAUDI - TOUR FROM SANTANDER
We will depart from Santander towards Comillas at 9:30 am. The village of Comillas is surprisingly a cradle and model of Catalonia modernism and it encompasses all elements necessary to satisfy any tourist and lover of modernist architecture.
As we arrive in Comillas, we will visit the Sobrellano Palace. This neo-gothic building was originally built to be the summer holiday palace for the Comillas Marquese and his friend King Alonso the XII. This palace is in the top of a little hill from where you will also enjoy great views over the Old Major Seminary (previously known as Comillas University). This majestic building was done by Catalan architects Joan Martorell and Lluís Domenech i Montaner and it includes different architectural influences.
Our next stop will be to visit the “Capricho de Gaudí”. This is a mansion built by the famous Catalan architect Antonio Gaudí. This was one of the first modernist buildings constructed in Spain and one of the few constructions of Gaudí out of Catalonia.
Before leaving Comillas, we will do a scenic drive around the village to know some of its most relevant places: the old graveyard, the duchess’ House or the monument to Antonio Lopez.
Finally, we will take a secondary road that crosses nice small villages on our way back to Santander.

Excursión a Santillana del Mar y Altamira – desde Santander y Torrelavega
En esta excursión visitarás el pueblo de Santillana del Mar, considerado uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España y el Museo de Altamira con su “neocueva”.
Te encantarán las calles empedradas, las casas medievales, las torres y los palacios de Santillana. También visitarás la Colegiata de Santa Juliana, la joya del románico en Cantabria. También disfrutarás de un tiempo libre para ir de compras o tomar algo en uno de sus múltiples cafeterías.
Nuestra próxima parada será para visitar el Museo y Centro de Investigación de Altamira. Este Museo alberga una réplica a escala de la famosa cueva de Altamira, esta es la denominada “neocueva”. Esta cueva fue la primera cueva con arte rupestre descubierta en el mundo y está declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO desde 1985. La visita a la neocueva es muy cómoda y es una visita obligada si quieres conocer más sobre el arte paleolítico dejado por nuestros antepasados.

Excursion to Santillana del Mar and Altamira Museum - departures from Santander
In this excursion, you will visit the village of Santillana del Mar which is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and the Altamira Museum and its “neocave”.
You will love Santillana’s cobbled streets, medieval houses, towers and mansions. You will also visit the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana, the jewel of the Romanesque in Cantabria. You will also enjoy some free time for shopping or having a snack.
Our next stop will be to visit the Museum and Research Center of Altamira. This Museum houses a scale replica of the famous cave of Altamira, this is the so-called “neocave”. This cave was the first cave to be discovered in the world with cave art and it was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1985. The visit to the neocave is very comfortable and it is a must-visit if you want to learn more about Paleolithic art left by our ancestors.

Te encantará realizar esta ruta en la que recorreremos diferentes atravesando los increíbles paisajes de Los Picos de Europa. Será un recorrido por la montaña con nuestro 4×4 atravesando parajes de Cantabria y de Asturias a los que no podríamos acceder con otro vehículo.
Saldremos desde Torrelavega donde iniciaremos nuestra ruta en 4×4 (opción recogida en otros lugares con suplemento). Accederemos a Picos de Europa por Cantabria y saldremos por la zona de Asturias.
En vuestra ruta en 4×4 recorreremos algunos lugares como Mogrovejo, Fuente Dé, Sotres, Poncebos o Cabrales. Las vistas espectaculares e inolvidables están aseguradas. Además, vuestro guía-conductor os realizará una interpretación del entorno para que descubráis mejor y comprendéis el entorno de Picos de Europa. Es por ello también que vuestra primera parada al llegar a Liébana será en el Centro de Interpretación de Picos de Europa en Tama. Una vez finalizada la ruta regresaréis a Torrelavega donde finalizará esta experiencia increíble.

You will love doing this route in which we will go through different routes through the incredible landscapes of Los Picos de Europa. It will be a tour of the mountains with our 4×4 through places in Cantabria and Asturias that we could not access with another vehicle.
Our tour will start in Torrelavega where we will leave towards Picos de Europa (for pick up in other cities, please ask for the supplement). You will love doing this route in which we will visit different towns in Cantabria and Asturias. Thus, you will start the route entering Picos de Europa through Cantabria and you will leave through the Asturias area. On your route in 4×4 we will visit some places such as Mogrovejo, Fuente Dé, Sotres, Poncebos or Cabrales. Spectacular and unforgettable views are guaranteed. In addition, your driver-guide will make an interpretation of the environment for you to better discover and understand the environment of Picos de Europa.
